Jenny Garside is a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing at the University of Worcester, affiliated with the School of Nursing and Midwifery and the Department of Apprenticeships & CPD. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Community Health Nursing (1996), MSc in Advanced Social & Health Care Studies (2011), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (2023). She became a Registered Nurse (Adult) in 1987 and has extensive clinical experience in palliative care, frailty care, and leadership roles in healthcare.
- Teaching Roles: Admissions Tutor for MSc Advanced Clinical Practice/MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Apprenticeship, instructor for MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and BSc Nursing Programmes.
- Certifications: Independent Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) (2007), NHSI ACT Academy Quality Service Improvement Redesign (QSIR) Practitioner (2018).
Her research and professional interests focus on leadership education, complex decision-making in healthcare, and improving care for frail older adults and palliative care patients. She has held roles such as Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist, Governance Lead in Medicine, and Clinical Service Improvement Lead for Frailty Care.
