Dr. Anita Hall serves as a Senior Teaching Fellow and Deputy Senior Tutor in the Department of Life Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences at Imperial College London. Her multifaceted role includes course leadership for core modules in Cell Biology and Biochemistry, pastoral support as a certified Mental Health First Aider and instructor, and significant contributions to educational strategy across the College through committees focused on sustainability, student wellbeing, and teaching innovation.
Her educational background includes a Zoology degree from Oxford University, a PhD in Neurobiology from University College London (UCL), and postdoctoral research in cellular neuroscience and stem cell biology at King's College London and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
Dr. Hall's research and professional interests center on Science Education, Mental Health in Academia, and Neuroscience. She actively promotes inclusivity in STEM, develops innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning, and advocates for sustainability in higher education. Her work emphasizes normalizing discussions about mental health and supporting underrepresented groups in science.
