Anindya Ghosh

Dr. Anindya Ghosh is a Professor of Chemistry and Associate Dean of the College of Sciences and Mathematics (DCSTEM) at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). He previously served as Chair of the Chemistry Department (2019–2022) and has held academic roles from Assistant Professor (2007–2012) to full Professor (2017–present). His research focuses on catalysis, sustainable materials, nanomaterials, and environmental chemistry, with applications in clean energy and biomedicine. He leads the Ghosh Group, which develops novel catalysts, nanomaterials for biomedical applications, and eco-friendly chemical processes.

Education: B.S. (1995) from Calcutta University, M.S. (1997) from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Ph.D. (2004) from Carnegie Mellon University under Prof. Terry Collins. Postdoctoral work at the University of Kansas and industry experience at Halliburton Energy Services (2005–2007).

Research interests include green chemistry, heterogeneous catalyst design, carbon capture/conversion, and functionalized nanomaterials for biomedical and environmental applications. He has received multiple awards, including the Central Arkansas Professor of the Year (2015) and the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (1999). He serves as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences and on editorial boards of Journal of Sustainability Research and Biomedical Engineering.

His publications span catalytic processes, nanomaterials, and environmental remediation. He advises graduate students and oversees research grants focused on sustainable chemistry and biomedical nanotechnology.
