Dr. Anil K. Patnaik is an Associate Professor of Physics at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). His research focuses on fundamental laser-matter interactions, quantum optics, and advanced laser diagnostics for plasmas and combustion processes. He has led numerous federally funded projects (AFRL, AFOSR, DOE) and holds an h-index of 22 with over 250 publications.

Research Interests:
Dr. Patnaik's work bridges theory and experimentation in quantum optics, nonlinear optics, and laser-based diagnostics. His innovations include fiber-based slow light systems, ultrafast laser-plasma diagnostics, and machine learning-enhanced spectral analysis. Recent projects involve kHz-rate table-top accelerators and quantum photonics under atmospheric turbulence.
