Anil Jegga

Anil Jegga is Research Professor at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Division of Biomedical Informatics. His work develops computational methods to transform genomic data into biomedical knowledge, with focus on drug repositioning, gene regulatory networks, and disease mechanism elucidation.

Jegga created the ToppGene Suite for gene prioritization and disease candidate identification, integrating multi-omics data through systems biology approaches. Recent applications include biomarker discovery for pulmonary fibrosis, cholangiopathies, and aortic valve disease.

His NIH-funded research spans bioinformatics tool development, drug-induced toxicity prediction, and multi-omics analysis for precision medicine applications.
