Associate Professor Anikó Hatoss is an academic at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) within the College of Arts, Design and Architecture. Specializing in linguistics, her work emphasizes linguistic social justice and the sociocultural dynamics of immigrant and diasporic communities.

Her research explores the interplay of language, migration, and identity, with a focus on intergenerational language maintenance and shift, bilingual parenting, and dialogical narrative analysis. Recent projects include studying parent-child discourse in bilingual families and mapping urban multilingualism through linguistic landscapes.
Key scientific recognitions include the ADA Research Fellowship Award and the Excellence in TELT Dean's Award. She was nominated for a Multicultural Award, reflecting her community impact.
Anikó has secured significant grants, including an ARC Discovery Grant (DP0881753) for micro-level language planning with African refugees and funding for collaborative linguistic landscapes projects involving student ethnographers.
