Anica Dragović

Prof. Dr. Anica Dragović is a Full Professor at the Institute of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She holds a PhD in Sociology and additional MPhil in Demography from the Cairo Demographic Center. Her academic career spans over 30 years, including roles as Vice Dean for International Cooperation (2013–2017) and Finance (2017–2019). She has been a Visiting Professor at Jagiellonian University (2015/2016) and participated in the Oxford Colleges Hospitality Scheme (2004).

Research interests focus on demography, family sociology, globalization impacts, and policy analysis. She teaches courses like Social Demographics, Sociology of Migration, and Population Policy across bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programs. Her work emphasizes methodological approaches to social research and policy evaluation.

Publications span over 40 articles and monographs, addressing fertility trends, migration, globalization, and Macedonian sociocultural dynamics. She has contributed to international projects, including UNDP initiatives on municipal indicators and monitoring domestic violence policies.

Grants and collaborations include EU-funded projects and partnerships with institutions like the Cairo Demographic Center and Jagiellonian University. She is fluent in English and actively engages in international academic networks.
