Anh Tran serves as Assistant Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology at Santa Clara University's Jesuit School of Theology and holds Core Doctoral Faculty status at the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) since 2012.
His academic foundation includes a PhD from Georgetown University (2011).
Dr. Tran's research centers on Theology of Religions and Interreligious Dialogue, Missiology, Ecclesiology, Asian Theology, and Asian Christianities, with particular emphasis on Vietnamese Christian contexts. His work critically examines ecclesial identity within pluralistic societies and the historical development of Christian communities in Asia through frameworks of inculturation and dialogue.
His recent publications reveal consistent scholarly engagement with global Christian dynamics, especially Vietnamese religious education and multi-faith cooperation. These works demonstrate methodological integration of historical analysis, missiological theory, and contextual theology within Asian religious landscapes.
