Angèle Picco

Angèle Picco is a PhD researcher at the Department of Traffic Psychology, University of Groningen, affiliated with the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences. Her work focuses on data-driven approaches to enhance safe mobility, combining traffic psychology with technological innovation. She investigates driver behavior through real-time feedback systems, addressing challenges faced by young, older, and professional drivers.

Research Interests: Behavioral analysis of driving behavior, vehicle data applications for safety interventions, gamification in transport, and ethical considerations in data usage. She explores how feedback systems can influence driver awareness and reduce accident risks while respecting privacy concerns.

Teaching Contributions: Supervised bachelor theses on statistics (2022–2023), and taught advanced statistics courses (2021–2022).

Current Project: Aims to develop scalable, data-driven solutions for road safety transitions, including personalized feedback for different driver demographics and population-level behavior change strategies.
