Angus Johnston is an ARC Future Fellow and Associate Professor in Drug Delivery Disposition and Dynamics at Monash University. His research develops advanced nanomaterial systems for improved drug and vaccine delivery, focusing on nanoparticle-cell interactions, mRNA therapeutics, and targeted delivery mechanisms.
Recent work includes nanobody-functionalized nanorods for cellular delivery, pH-responsive nanoparticles for cancer therapy, and HDL-based vaccine adjuvants. His group employs quantitative assays to analyze intracellular trafficking and endosomal escape, advancing precision nanomedicine.
