Angie Kay Beeman is a Professor in the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College, CUNY, with an affiliate role in Black and Latino Studies. Her research focuses on intersections of race, class, and gender, particularly examining how evolving expressions of racism impact social movements, workplace equity, and academic institutions. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Connecticut, with earlier degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

She has been quoted in major outlets like Forbes and Harvard Business Review, and speaks widely on DEI initiatives for NASA, nonprofits, and universities.
Teaching focuses on race, inequality, and qualitative methods, with a commitment to accessible pedagogy. Her current research explores performative allyship and racialized bullying in workplaces, supported by grants from Russell Sage Foundation and PSC-CUNY.
