Angie Abdilla

Angie Abdilla is a Professor at the School of Cybernetics, Australian National University (ANU), and is affiliated with the Gender Institute. A Palawa woman, she integrates Indigenous knowledges and systems into technology research, emphasizing their historical and contemporary relevance.

Her career began in film and video art, transitioning to focus on technology as a central medium for storytelling. Research explores the sophistication of Indigenous Knowledge systems in shaping ancient and modern technologies, prioritizing a Two-Way learning framework. Her creative practice merges art, film, and AI through transdisciplinary formats.
