Angelo Algieri

Angelo Algieri is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical, Energy and Management Engineering of the University of Calabria, where he has been since 2017. He previously served as Assistant Professor (2016-2017) and has taught Energy Systems courses since 2006. He coordinates international exchange programs for Management Engineering and leads institutional agreements with universities across Europe and Turkey.

• Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) for heat recovery
• Biodiesel engine integration with ORC
• Geothermal and biomass energy
• Fluid dynamics of combustion engines
• Techno-economic analysis of CHP systems
• Sustainable mobility and energy

His work combines theoretical, numerical and experimental approaches, including advanced CFD techniques and laser diagnostics. Recent publications (2022-2025) emphasize hybrid multigeneration systems, sustainable food processing, and battery electric vehicle analysis.
