Angelika Heinzel

Prof. Angelika Heinzel is a full professor for Energy Technology at the University of Duisburg-Essen's Faculty of Engineering Sciences. She also serves as CEO of ZBT GmbH. Her expertise spans electrochemistry, fuel cell systems, and energy conversion technologies. She holds leadership roles in multiple organizations including Dechema and GDCh.

Education: Studied chemistry at the Universities of Münster and Kiel, earned her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Oldenburg (1985). Professional trajectory includes roles at Fraunhofer ISE and leadership in electrochemical energy research.
