Dr. Angelica Monteiro is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Porto, where she also conducts research at the Center for Educational Research and Intervention (CIIE). Holding a PhD in Education Sciences (2011) and a Master in Multimedia Education from the same institution, she specializes in Digital Education, E-learning, and Curricular Innovation with a focus on Digital Inclusion and Social Justice.
- Principal Investigator for projects like MINDtheGaps (Erasmus+), UP2B (Erasmus+), and DICEs (FCT)
- Active member of international networks including the European Education Policy Network and Technology, Pedagogy and Education
Her research examines:
- Digital citizenship education for vulnerable youth

- Transformative pedagogies linking digital tools with sustainability
