Angela Winek

Angela Winek is a Continuing Lecturer in the Merritt Writing Program at UC Merced’s School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts. She has contributed to curriculum development for first-year composition classes, including a Pre-Health emphasis for SJV Prime+ students, and co-led grant-funded initiatives focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion in writing education since joining the faculty in 2008.

Her work includes revising learning outcomes through dynamic criteria mapping, developing the Writing Readiness Review placement tool, and collaborating on NSF-AGEP and UCOP grants to advance inclusive pedagogy and diversify academic professions.
