معرفی
Angela Nigro is an Associate Professor affiliated with the Institute for Superconductors, Innovative Materials and Devices (CNR-SPIN) and the University of Salerno. Her research focuses on superconductivity, particularly in iron-based superconductors like Fe(Se,Te), flux pinning mechanisms, and material characterization. She collaborates extensively on projects involving high-temperature superconductors, quantum phase transitions, and novel material applications in energy storage and quantum devices.
Her work explores critical fields, quasiparticle dynamics, and nanoscale properties of superconducting materials using advanced spectroscopic and microscopic techniques. Notable contributions include studies on vortex physics in CaKFe4As4 and the structural reorganization effects in NdCeCuO4 cuprates.
Dr. Nigro’s research also extends to applied superconductivity, such as developing NbReN microstrips for single-photon detectors and analyzing commercial REBCO tapes for high-field applications. She has published widely in journals like Progress of Theoretical and Experimental Physics, Superconductor Science and Technology, and Nanotechnology, demonstrating interdisciplinary expertise in condensed matter physics and materials engineering.
- Key collaborations include studies on proton irradiation effects in Fe(Se,Te) films and CeCu2Si2 micropebbles for energy storage.
- Her work bridges theoretical models (e.g., topological zero modes) with experimental material characterization.
