Angela Kintominas is a Lecturer at the School of Law, Society & Criminology, UNSW Sydney, part of the Faculty of Law & Justice. Her research focuses on feminist and critical theoretical approaches to gender, work, and social reproduction, with expertise in labour law, migration regimes, and global care chains. She holds a PhD from UNSW Law and Justice, awarded the 2024 Australian Legal Research Award for Best PhD and UNSW Dean's Award for Outstanding Thesis. She is affiliated with the Australian Feminist Law Journal and the Work and Family Policy Roundtable.
Education includes a PhD (UNSW Sydney), LLM (Columbia Law School), and dual honours degrees in Arts and Laws (UNSW Sydney). Prior to academia, she worked as a solicitor, admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW and High Court of Australia. Her awards include the Walter Gellhorn Prize and Lionel Murphy Scholarship. She teaches courses on Legal Research & Writing, Federal Constitutional Law, and Employment Law.
Her research examines migrant care work, temporary migration, and digital technology's role in worker empowerment. Notable publications include analyses of au pairing during the pandemic, migrant grandparents’ roles in childcare, and critiques of supply chain governance. She advocates for intersectional, feminist approaches to law and policy.
