Angela Hartsig

Angela Hartsig is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Husson University School of Pharmacy, where she has been affiliated since August 2019. Her roles include teaching, coordinating courses, and developing a professional development elective for pharmacy students. She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (2018) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (2014) from the University of Michigan. Post-graduation, she completed a PGY-1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency in 2019.

Research & Clinical Focus: Dr. Hartsig’s clinical interests span primary care, transitions of care, geriatrics, and pharmacy education. She maintains an ambulatory care practice at Maine Dartmouth Geriatric Medicine (MDGM), where she precepts fourth-year pharmacy students in interprofessional team settings. Her research emphasizes improving pharmacy education methodologies.

Teaching & Advising: Coordinates Introduction to Therapeutics: Self Care/OTC, teaches across therapeutics courses, and facilitates recitation for Applied Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutics I. She developed a pharmacy elective focused on career skills. Her advising extends to precepting students at MDGM.

Labs/Teams: Engaged with Maine Dartmouth Geriatric Medicine (MDGM) as a clinical practice site and interprofessional education hub.
