Professor Angela Harden is a social scientist and Professor of Health Sciences at City, University of London since July 2020. She previously served as Director of the Institute for Health and Human Development at the University of East London (2015-2020) and held senior roles at UCL Institute of Education. Her work focuses on applied health research targeting social determinants of health across the life course through programs like REACH Pregnancy, Well Communities, and Connect Hackney Ageing Better.

Education & Leadership includes directing research capacity-building initiatives and developing novel frameworks for integrating qualitative evidence in systematic reviews. She has secured funding from NIHR, ESRC, AHRC, and EUFP7 for community-focused interventions.
