Angela Fontan Bouzas

Angela Fontan Bouzas is a Researcher at the University of Vigo's Faculty of Marine Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Marine Geosciences and Spatial Planning. She is part of the XM2 Marine and Environmental Geology research group and holds the distinction of 'UVIGO Distinguished Researcher.' Her work focuses on stratigraphy, coastal dynamics, and sedimentary processes.

She earned her PhD in 2012 from the Catholic University of Valencia San Vicente Mártir with a thesis on the geomorphological evolution of Maspalomas' coastal systems, advised by Dr. Javier Alcántara Carrió. Her research integrates marine geosciences with spatial planning to address environmental and geological challenges.
