Associate Professor Angela Dean is a conservation social scientist with over 20 years of experience in research and engagement programs across diverse communities. She holds positions at the University of Queensland's School of Agriculture and Food Sustainability and is affiliated with the Centre for Marine Science and Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Science. Her work focuses on behavioral science applications to environmental stewardship, climate change adaptation, and conservation policy. Dr. Dean collaborates closely with government and NGO partners to coordinate social monitoring for reef and waterway stewardship.
Her research spans environmental psychology, water resource management, and sustainable agricultural practices.
