Angela Connelly is a Senior Lecturer at the Manchester School of Architecture, a joint institution of Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Manchester. She holds qualifications including a PhD in Planning and Landscape (University of Manchester, 2011), MA in Political Science (Manchester), and BA in Politics (Strathclyde). Her career spans research positions at the University of Manchester and Lancaster University.
Her research focuses on climate adaptation and resilience in built environments, with emphasis on:
- Urban flood risk management and property-level technologies
- Sustainable design and climate-responsive architecture
- Interdisciplinary approaches combining arts, sciences, and policy
- Community engagement in climate adaptation
Her publications demonstrate sustained focus on flood resilience technologies, urban vulnerability mapping, and the cultural dimensions of sustainability.
