Angela Brown

Angela Brown is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Lehigh University. Her research focuses on lipid-protein interactions in bacterial diseases and the development of biologically inspired therapeutic agents. She leads the Biological Interfaces Research Group, exploring bacterial virulence mechanisms and novel approaches to combat antibiotic resistance.

Recent recognition includes the Rossin Award (2024) and ChBE Faculty/Staff Honors (2023). Her research emphasizes antibiotic alternatives by targeting bacterial virulence factors rather than traditional microbiome-disrupting antibiotics.
