Dr. Angela Black is a Clinical Veterinarian and Coordinator in the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences at the University of Maryland. She oversees the animal care program and provides veterinary services for campus facilities. Her academic roles include teaching undergraduate courses such as Anatomy of Domestic Animals and Small Ruminant Parturition, and co-advising the pre-veterinary club. She holds a DVM from Colorado State University, a PhD in Animal Sciences from Rutgers University, and completed postdoctoral research at the NIH.
Her professional interests span veterinary education, reproductive physiology, and laboratory animal management. She actively contributes to campus initiatives like the Campus Farm and maintains a hobby farm in Southern Maryland focused on sustainable livestock practices.
