Angela Bedard-Haughn

Angela Bedard-Haughn is the Dean and Professor in the Department of Soil Science at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research focuses on the interplay between land use, climate change, and soil properties, particularly in carbon and nitrogen dynamics, wetland soils, and digital soil mapping. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis, and degrees from the University of Saskatchewan.

Professor Bedard-Haughn's work emphasizes high-resolution soil data to contextualize field studies and models. Her research team specializes in digital soil mapping (DSM) and soil information management. She teaches courses such as EVSC 380.3 (Grassland Soils and Vegetation) and SLSC 825.3 (Field Studies and Research Design of Saskatchewan Soil Landscapes).
