Angela A. Allen-Bell

Angela A. Allen-Bell is Associate Professor and B.K. Agnihotri Endowed Professor at Southern University Law Center. A constitutional law expert, her research on non-unanimous juries catalyzed Louisiana's 2018 jury reform. She leads historic advocacy campaigns including the Angola 3 case and Homer Plessy's posthumous pardon.

Recognition includes National Black Lawyers-Top 100, American Bar Foundation Fellowship, and Civil Rights and Social Justice Award. Her scholarship examines systemic racism through civil rights, human rights, and restorative justice frameworks.
