Angélica Meinhofer is an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine's Graduate School of Medical Sciences, specializing in Population Health Sciences. Her work examines the healthcare, health, and foster care outcomes of children and families affected by parental substance use disorders.

Her research program combines economic theory frameworks with quasi-experimental methodologies to evaluate drug policy impacts, Medicaid program effectiveness, and child welfare system interactions. Current projects analyze prescription medication trends among pregnant Medicaid beneficiaries and behavioral responses to cannabis legalization policies.
