Anette Skilbred

Anette Skilbred is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sport and Social Sciences, Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, and a researcher at the Norwegian Research Center of Children and Youth Sport (FOBU). She completed her PhD in June 2024 with a dissertation titled Youth sport and performance enhancing substances.

Skilbred is actively involved in projects such as 10 years of research into children's and youth sports and Idrett for alle i Oslo, which evaluates inclusive sports initiatives. Her publications span journals like Frontiers in Sports and Active Living and European Journal for Sport and Society, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to youth sports ethics and health.

She contributes to critical discourse on public health strategies and government policies, including analyses of Norway's sexual health initiatives. Her affiliations include collaborations with researchers at institutions like OsloMet and NOVA.
