Anette Agardh is a Professor and Research Team Manager in Social Medicine and Global Health at Lund University. She also serves as an Assistant Coordinator for the LU Profile Area: Human Rights. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to public health, global health equity, and social medicine. She has supervised multiple doctoral students and led over 19 active and completed research projects.
Her research focuses on sexual health, healthcare access, and intersectional vulnerability. Notable areas include peer-led education for individuals with intellectual disabilities, sexual violence in conflict zones, and policy frameworks addressing migrants' vulnerability. She manages the Scania Public Health Cohort and is a Principal Investigator in the Lund Human Rights Research Hub.
Her recent articles analyze participatory approaches in sex education, perceptions of healthcare access post-sexual violence, and intersectionality in Sweden's migrant policies. She has advised on projects since 2018, including studies on university sexual harassment and violence prevalence in Ethiopia's student populations.
