Dr Andy Webster is an Associate Lecturer in the Marine & Natural History Photography BA(Hons) program at Falmouth University. Based in Botallack, UK, he maintains an active international artistic practice spanning sculpture, performance, moving image, and sound.
His educational background includes:
- PhD in Art & Environment from the University of Arts London & Falmouth University (2011)
- MA in Fine Art from Brighton University (1988)
- BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Manchester Metropolitan University (1986)
Webster's research explores the convergence of aural and visual elements within built and spatial environments. His practice involves large-scale sculptural reconstructions that reinterpret historical, cultural, and fictional events, transforming private spaces into public participatory installations. His work engages deeply with environmental contexts and social dynamics through immersive spatial interventions.
