Andy Stergachis is Professor of Pharmacy and Global Health and Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology and Health Services at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. He serves as Associate Dean of the School of Pharmacy and Director of the Global Medicines Program.

Dr. Stergachis' research focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, global health, and medication safety. He has directed a pharmacovigilance pregnancy registry study on antimalarials in sub-Saharan Africa and developed novel approaches for HIV pharmacovigilance and strengthening pharmacy services in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). His work spans infectious diseases, vaccine safety, and public health systems research.

Dr. Stergachis has chaired 7 PhD dissertation committees since 2010 and mentored numerous graduate students and postdoctoral trainees. He is currently the Principal Investigator (PI) for:
- The University of Washington component of a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded pharmacovigilance project.
- The UW component of a USAID-funded cooperative agreement with Management Sciences for Health on the MTaPS Program.
He is also a co-investigator on an IHME project mapping the global burden of antimicrobial resistance.
He is affiliated with the Center for Pharmacy Practice Transformation and the CHOICE Institute. Through the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice, he collaborates on workforce development and emergency preparedness research with the public health community.
