Andy Puckett is a Professor and Department Head of Finance at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business. He holds the Paul & Beverly Castagna Professorship in Investments and is a Charles & Dorothy Duggan Faculty Research Fellow. His research focuses on institutional investing, market microstructure, taxes, and analyst behavior. Puckett teaches investments and FinTech courses to both undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to UT, he was at the University of Missouri. His work has been published in top journals like the Journal of Finance and presented at major conferences such as the American Finance Association. He advises regulatory bodies like the SEC and collaborates with industry leaders including Goldman Sachs and Bank of America. Awards include the William L. Vallett Outstanding Researcher Award and multiple Quest Scholar recognitions. Puckett’s career spans academia, research, and industry engagement, emphasizing practical and policy-relevant financial insights.
