Dr. Andy Loveridge is Kaplan Senior Research Fellow at WildCRU (Wildlife Conservation Research Unit), Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford. His research focuses on the behavioral ecology and conservation of African carnivores, particularly lions and leopards. His long-term field research in Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park examines predator ecology in arid ecosystems, sustainable trophy hunting practices, and human-wildlife conflict mitigation.
Loveridge co-edited 'The Biology and Conservation of Wild Felids' and leads Darwin Initiative-funded research on leopard conservation. He supervises doctoral candidates studying lion and leopard ecology and mentors undergraduate field researchers. His work informs conservation policy through collaborations with wildlife management authorities.
