Dr. André van der Velden is an Assistant Professor in the Media and Performance Studies group at the Department of Media and Culture Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Utrecht University. His academic work focuses on Dutch film history and media studies, with particular expertise in cinema culture from 1896-1940.
