André Naffis-Sahely

André Naffis-Sahely is a poet, critic, and translator affiliated with the School of English at Manchester Metropolitan University. His work spans literature, film, and the visual arts, with contributions to prominent publications such as The Times Literary Supplement, The Independent, and Words Without Borders. He also engages in translating French and Italian literature, including forthcoming titles by Abdellatif Laâbi and Rachid Boudjedra.

• Education: BA in History and Politics, M.Litt in Creative Writing from the University of St Andrews.

Research Interests: Naffis-Sahely’s creative and critical practice focuses on poetry, literary translation, and interdisciplinary engagement with visual arts and film. His poetry collection The Promised Land (Penguin, 2017) and translation projects highlight his contributions to contemporary literature and cross-cultural dialogue.
