André Augusto Siviero serves as a Rights Lab Research Fellow in Forced Labour and Deforestation Data at the University of Nottingham, contributing to the Measurement and Geographies Programme. His work focuses on identifying the locations, nature, and extent of forced labour and deforestation intersections in Brazil.
His research spans sustainable development in the Amazon, human rights, institutional frameworks, and labour relations, with emphasis on combating modern slavery through innovative methodologies. Siviero employs quantitative analysis of anti-slavery legislation compliance costs alongside qualitative assessments of labour standard effectiveness to address systemic vulnerabilities.
His current projects integrate environmental and human rights perspectives to develop actionable solutions for forced labour detection and prevention in high-risk regions.
