Andrzej Korzeniowski is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at The University of Texas at Arlington. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Wroclaw University (1978), specializing in Probability Theory with an emphasis on Applied Probability. His research focuses on Probability, Random Processes, Stochastic Analysis, and their applications in Risk Modeling & Finance, Queueing Theory, Dynamic Network Reliability, Quantum Mechanics, and Monte Carlo Simulation.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, Wroclaw University (1978), Dissertation: 'Limit Theorems for Martingales in Banach Spaces.'
- M.S. in Mathematics, Wroclaw University (1974), Dissertation: 'Bounds for Reliability in NBU/NWU Classes.'
Research highlights include federal and state grants totaling over $500,000, including work on network dynamics under Markovian perturbations (ARO, 2007–2010) and quantum theory simulations (Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, 1994–1995). His recent work involves risk process modeling, Monte Carlo methods for soil carbon detection (USDA, 2023–2028), and stochastic differential equations.
Teaching spans advanced courses in Probability, Real Analysis, and Stochastic Processes, with active involvement in doctoral supervision and curriculum development. He serves on university committees including the Faculty Senate and College of Science Awards Committee.
