Androniki Naska

Androniki Naska is a Professor of Hygiene and Epidemiology at the School of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Greece. She serves as Vice-Chair of the Panel on Nutrition, Novel Foods and Food Allergens of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and as Chair of the EFSA Working Group on setting tolerable upper intake levels for vitamins and minerals. Additionally, she is Deputy Head of the WHO Collaborating Center for Nutrition and Health in Athens.

• Education: Graduate of Chemistry (NKUA), MSc in Human Nutrition (King’s College, University of London), PhD in Epidemiology (NKUA School of Medicine)

Her research focuses on nutritional epidemiology, including dietary assessment methods, diet-disease associations, and food-related risk-benefit assessments. She has coordinated national and international studies in these areas.

With over 310 PubMed publications and 15,500+ citations (H-index: 67), her work spans epidemiology-research methodology and preventive medicine-public health, emphasizing innovation in nutritional science.

She leads undergraduate and graduate teaching in epidemiology and research methodology, contributing to public health education at NKUA’s School of Medicine.
