Dr. Andrina Inglis is a part-time Teaching Professor at the University of Edinburgh's Moray House School of Education, specifically within the Institute for Education, Teaching and Leadership (IETL). Her role includes various teaching and organizational responsibilities within teacher education programs.
Dr. Inglis holds an EdD from the University of Edinburgh, a Chartered Teacher designation, an MSc from Napier University, a PGDE in Secondary Mathematics, and a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Heriot-Watt University.
Her research focuses on mathematics education for secondary learners, the effective integration of ICT in classrooms, and teacher development. She has explored topics such as the role of HEIs in initial teacher education and the use of interactive technologies like IWBs and handheld devices in mathematics instruction.
Dr. Inglis has been actively involved in organizing conferences, including the STEP Annual Conference (2015-2018) and the AMET Annual Conference. She has also presented her work at international events, such as the 2012 Teachers Teaching with Technology (T³) Conference in Chicago.
In her teaching, she has coordinated courses like the Dual and Double Subjects program and previously led the Professional Studies course for PGDE Secondary. Her supervision includes undergraduate dissertations and support for student teachers in mathematics education.
