Prof. Andrij Pich is the Lichtenberg Professor for Functional and Interactive Polymers at RWTH Aachen University and holds a part-time professorship in Bio-Based Polymers at Maastricht University. His research focuses on the synthesis of stimuli-responsive polymers, nano/microgels, and their applications in catalysis, biomaterials, and coatings. He obtained his doctorate from TU Dresden in 2001, followed by postdoctoral work at the University of Toronto. Notable awards include the Lichtenberg Professorship (2009), Georg Manecke Prize (2007), and Innovation Award (2018).
