معرفی
Dr. Andrey Zinchuk is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He directs the Advanced Apnea Management Program and the Upper Airway Neurostimulation Program. His research focuses on identifying physiological phenotypes of sleep apnea to personalize treatments, particularly around CPAP efficacy and cardiovascular risk. He co-founded Doctors United for Ukraine to support healthcare in conflict-affected regions.
Education:
- MD, University of Connecticut (2008)
- MHS, Yale University (2018)
- Residencies in Internal Medicine and Neurology at Harvard/Beth Israel Deaconess (2009–2013)
- Fellowships in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Yale (2016–2017)
Research Interests: Dr. Zinchuk investigates how arousal thresholds, hypoxic burden, and chronotype influence OSA treatment outcomes. His work emphasizes cardiovascular risk prediction through polysomnographic phenotyping and explores adjunct therapies for treatment-resistant cases. Key topics include CPAP adherence, PLM-CVD links, and cannabis use in OSA patients.
Key Contributions:
- Developed the NICEPAP study to identify CPAP-response biomarkers
- Authored influential papers on OSA phenotypes and precision medicine
- Co-led the RICCADSA trial analyzing CPAP's cardiovascular benefits
Awards:
- Top Author (CHEST Journal 2020)
- Outstanding Early Investigator Award (Sleep Research Society 2018)
Labs/Teams: Leads the Zinchuk Lab at Yale, collaborating with跨学科 teams on translational sleep research. Active in the American Thoracic Society and Sleep Research Society.
