Andrey Dimov Andreev

Prof. PhD Andrey Dimov Andreev is a faculty member at the Faculty of History, St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. His research focuses on Russian and Bulgarian history, particularly interactions between secular and religious institutions, Slavic committees, and cultural dynamics in the Balkans and Russia from the 17th to 20th centuries. His work explores Orthodox Christianity, political ideologies, and historical diplomacy.

• Projects: Member of Balkani – ezik, istoriya, kultura (2017) and leader of Methodico-theoretical problems of periodization (2010-2011).

His publications span topics like Russo-Balkan relations during the Slavic Congress (1867), Orthodox Church resilience post-1917, and 17th-century Russian political conspiracies. He has contributed to multiple edited volumes and journals in Eastern Europe.
