Dr. Andrew Wragg is a Consultant Cardiologist at Barts Heart Centre, Europe's largest cardiac facility, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. He serves as Director of Quality and Safety, overseeing clinical excellence and patient safety. Graduating from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College in 1994, he completed postgraduate training at Barts Health NHS Trust and the NIH in the USA before being appointed consultant and lecturer in 2007.
His research focuses on coronary artery disease, clinical outcomes in cardiovascular care, and chest pain management. Notable studies include investigations into imaging techniques for plaque assessment, outcomes of young STEMI patients, and optimization of PCI protocols. He has contributed to over 30 peer-reviewed articles analyzing diagnostic tools, procedural efficacy, and patient-reported outcomes.
