Andrew Wolfe is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Loyola University New Orleans. With over three decades of software development experience, including cybersecurity work on defense intelligence systems since the 1980s and roles as a database architect for Oracle, he transitioned to academia part-time in the late 2000s. He became permanent faculty at Boston University in 2016 and joined Loyola in 2018, where he developed the Cybersecurity degree program launching in Fall 2020.

His research and practice focus on Cybersecurity, Data Modeling, Database Implementation, Software Architecture, and Computer Science Education. Recent work explores modern teaching tools like GitHub Classroom, security gaps in web-based databases, and strategies for student success in IT courses. Articles highlight trends in database design, legacy system challenges, and cybersecurity pedagogy.
