Andrew Wilhelm

Andrew Wilhelm is an Adjunct Professor and Technical Assistant in the Art & Architecture Shop at The Cooper Union's School of Art. He teaches Casting Techniques and holds an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BFA from Kutztown University, with additional study at the Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture. His sculptural work explores material limits and scale through mixed-media pieces involving wood, bronze, and gypsum cement.

Wilhelm’s practice combines geometric and figurative forms to interrogate materiality and temporal presence. His work has been exhibited nationally, including a solo show at Broadway Gallery (NYC), and he has participated in residencies across the U.S. He advises students through hands-on studio instruction and maintains technical oversight in Cooper Union’s art fabrication facilities.
