Dr. Andrew Webb is a Senior Lecturer in Modern English Literature at Bangor University's School of Arts, Culture and the Media, specializing in Ecocriticism and the English-language literature of Wales. He joined Bangor in 2012 after appointments at Swansea, Birmingham, and Warwick Universities, where he completed his PhD as an Early Career Research Fellow.

- Editor of the International Journal of Welsh Writing in English and Co-Editor of the Writers of Wales monograph series

His research examines how cultural forms (literature, film, language) shape public understanding of climate change, energy transitions, and environmental justice. Recent publications include work on Welsh petrofiction, dam displacement narratives, and climate crisis poetry. He supervises PhD projects in Ecocriticism and Welsh writing in English.
Scientific awards include New Teacher of the Year at Bangor’s Student-Led Teaching Awards (2012). He co-organized the Welsh Energy Humanities Network (2023) and contributes to public engagement through the Shankland Lecture Series (2024) on oil in Welsh culture.
