Andrew W. Cook

Andrew W. Cook is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Mount Saint Vincent University, affiliated with the Division of Natural Sciences. He holds a PhD from the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) and a BA from Northwestern University. His research focuses on Inorganic Chemistry, particularly in electrocatalysis, metallic nanoclusters, and alternative fuels.

Dr. Cook teaches courses such as CHEM 109 (General, Organic, and Biochemistry) and advanced courses like CHEM 435 (Advanced Inorganic Chemistry). He is a member of the American Chemical Society and actively publishes in top journals like Inorganic Chemistry and Chemical Science.

His research explores novel nanocluster synthesis, electrocatalytic materials for energy storage, and sustainable solutions like carbon fixation. Recent work includes studies on cobalt piano-stool complexes for formate oxidation and palladium nanoclusters stabilized by ketimides.
