Andrew Sidman is Professor of Political Science and Interim Dean of Academic Programs at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York (CUNY). His research focuses on American political institutions, including Congress, the presidency, federal courts, elections, and public opinion, with specialized expertise in pork barrel politics, voting rights, and political polarization. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stony Brook University (2007) and a B.A. in Political Science & Economics from Fordham University (2002).
Dr. Sidman's research investigates the intersection of government spending, electoral outcomes, and judicial decision-making. Key interests include:
