Andrew Sabalowsky is a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing, University of South Carolina. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech.
His research focuses on anaerobic bioremediation of hazardous chemicals and biofuel production technologies. Current interests include renewable energy systems involving fluid dynamics applications like wave attenuation and solar chimneys.
Publications primarily address microbial degradation of chlorinated solvents, featuring mechanistic modeling of toxicity in bioremediation processes. His scholarly work appears in leading journals including Biotechnology and Bioengineering and Applied and Environmental Microbiology.
